Sigdes is our first peated whisky. This time we want to give you something different while retaining the characteristics of our whisky. Our locally grown and malted barley, a key ingredient, gets its special character from the lime-rich soil and climate of our beloved island. Malting of barley has a long tradition on Gotland, the knowledge has been preserved over the years by generations and continues to be refined by people like Staffan Larsson.
From day one he has malted all our barley in a self-built malthouse at Sigdes Farm in southern Gotland.
So, here’s to you Staffan.
