Many felt the call but only a select few were chosen to use our special gifts of: taste, smell and love of whisky. This to create what is called Shareholders by Shareholders Down the chosen path to the adventure we went, 7 select shareholders to form a fellowship. The big task of tasting from 27 barrels in 2 days was no small feat for the fellowship, and then we had to agree on which whisky to use. Many a discussion, lots of drinking and tired noses later, we agreed to disagree at this time. A hard job we found it. We came from far and wide, from abroad, from the mainland and from the island and with different backgrounds but finally, the fellowship agreed. The final blend is mainly spiced with whisky aged in oak barrels from the exceptional lands of Hungary. The broad base is whisky from a variety of first-fill bourbon barrels. An attempt to top it with a fresh American charred cask failed so that one and other promising “spices” still lie in wait for fellowships to follow…

FARMS: Halner farm, Bro and Sigdes farm, Rone
THE MALT: Malted in the farm of Sigdes in Rone, Gotland. The malt is smoked with peat for 9 hours
WATER: Gotlandic hard water
YEAST: Dry yeast for Maltwhisky. DistilaMax MW
