With few barrels and experimental production Gotland Whisky create
great results. Isle of Lime Midaik
really stands out.
Hundreds of years ago it took days to get from southern Gotland to the intense commerce in the medieval town Visby. On the way many people took a break under two very special oak trees at Midaik. A mysterious and mythical place, where hunters and locals to this day still meet. The name Midaik is perfectly suited for this fourth unique edition from Gotland Whisky, since the whisky is aged solely in old American oak barrels.

ISLE OF LIME MIDAIK - 2:ND BATCH
The 2:nd Batch is made out of the same mix as above. The difference is that the whisky has been stored one more year. When the first batch was ready there was small amounts of whisky left in some of the barrels. This whisky was mixed together and stored in two 200L barrels. One year later these barrels was bottled and labeled "Isle of Lime Midaik - 2:nd Batch".

--------------
ISLE OF LIME MIDAIK - FINAL BATCH
The last edition of Midaik is made from a new mix of barrels. The taste and expression are the same as previous editions. The reason why a Final batch was prepared was that after the first two editions were bottled there were about 1300 labeled bottles in the store. In accordance with our ecological profile, we wanted to avoid unnecessary resource consumption and energy consumption by shredding these bottles.
